“Journey to Market” is a handmade, museum-quality bronze statue that weighs approximately 900 pounds. It is a life-size depiction of a handcart similar to those used at rail stations throughout California during the early 1900s. The sculpture, which was crafted by artist Dee Clements, depicts a man loading items onto the cart, while a boy sits atop the cart with luggage as he waits for a train.
